Sol St. Pete - St. Petersburg

The cooking was impressive; I enjoyed the sweet potato soup, which was both delicious and savory, and the shrimp Alfredo, which was unique and made with high-quality shrimp. The desserts were also delightful. However, the service left much to be desired. It was excessively slow for such a small establishment. Our wine pairing didn’t arrive until we had finished our entrée, which was quite frustrating given the price we paid.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite intimate, thanks to its very small dining area. There are only a few tables, which I personally prefer over a large, crowded establishment. However, the service was incredibly slow. It took 20 minutes for anyone to attend to us, and after ordering bread as a starter, we waited an additional 20 to 30 minutes for it to arrive. Given that it was just bread with an olive oil dipping sauce, this felt a bit unusual. I'm not sure if the leisurely pace is part of the restaurant's charm, but we ended up spending over two hours there. On the bright side, the food was fantastic, with a wide variety of interesting vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Overall, I think it’s a perfect spot for a date night. Just a word of advice: if you're very hungry, it's best to eat beforehand, as getting food may take some time.

This was, by far, the best meal we have had in St Pete in eons. Ambiance, service and food was superior. Also, it was not at all raucous, loud or rushed in any way. This is a new date night spot for us! Also, loved having the option of herbal non-alcoholic elixirs for those of us not partaking, we tried two of them and both were delicious. Anyone can eat here! vegan, vegetarian, celiac, omnivore!

What a beautiful experience. the food was delicious and the service was some of the best I ever had. a cheaper new place for us!
