Bidra med feedbackAmazing place!! Ok, I travel a lot and I am a wine nerd. This place has amazing food and a very well curated wine list that has some truly stunning “local” wine. As an example, they paid excellent attention to their charcuterie board. It was a work of art and culinary inspiration. Engage them and ask about wine, you will not be disappointed. My server was Jack, and for a young person, he had a significant wine knowledge and perfect descriptors of taste! Plus, his enthusiasm for wine will win the day. I will be making this a required stop every time I come into Rochester!
I feel very comfortable in here. As a young person who is very interested in wine, I think I’ve found my favorite spot in Rochester. Keep up the attention to detail and friendliness to all types of guests. Great work. Betsy is great by the way! Love her company!
Had a wonderful dinner here last night! he dining room is open and airy and well lit, and there is is ample seating outside as well (we opted for inside). Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We tried 4 different glasses of wine, and they also offer flights which we did not partake, though others around us chose this option. I won’t get into a wine review here as individual tastes differ, but I will say the wine was poured quickly, into nice glasses, and was at the proper temperature for red wine (NOT a universal experience recently). The food was outstanding: 1. Duck pate was delicious, served with wonderful accompaniments (esp. the fresh blueberry jam), and delicious and ample toasted bread (Like real bread, not toast points). 2. Heirloom tomatoes. If you like tomatoes, get this! The tomatoes were delicious (varieties), the burrata sweet and soft, and the gremolata perfectly balanced for the dish. 3. Sheet ravioli was perhaps the most unique dish, with perfectly cooked pasta and sweet whipped feta, squash and raisins just rubbing up against the border of dessert-like. 4. Spaghetti w/Calamari with just the right amount of spiciness to compliment the ravioli and with plenty of cooked-right (i.e. not rubbery) calamari. The dishes are meant to be shared, but they aren’t tiny. We were quite sated splitting the four between two of us. We’ll definitely be back to try the res of the menu!!
This is definitely one of the nicer and classiest spots in Rochester. Feels like you’re sitting in Manhattan. Not only is the food and wine spectacular but the entire staff especially our waiter Jack is delightful, informative and so professional— something we don’t see very often in the post pandemic era. We had a wonderful bottle of wine; garden fresh cherry tomatoes with basil, olive oil and burrata cheese —also grilled octopus, chicken wings and a charcuterie board —so delicious! I highly suggest Carnegie Cellars Wine Bar Kitchen. We can’t wait to go back and try all the menu items we could not fit in on our first night.
Our group tried nearly everything on the menu. While we certainly had our favorites (octopus was out of this world) everything was excellent. Service was top notch as well.
