Bidra med feedbackThe staff at this restaurant were very pleasant. We were able to secure a last minute booking and were well taken care of throughout our meal. It was nice to chat with Val while our plates were efficiently cleared for our next course. I wish there were a few more options on the menu, but I admit I am a bit of a foodie. Keep up the good work!
The food selection was varied and of above-average quality compared to other similar restaurants I have tried. I didn't encounter any issues with cold, bland, or undercooked dishes. In contrast, I paid £18.99 at another buffet restaurant and found the food to be of lower quality and lacking a theme. My meal included a salad, vegetarian lasagne, ratatouille, spicy chicken, chilli con carne, and a small portion of Christmas pudding. My child enjoyed fish fingers, beans, chips, cherry tart, and a Twister ice cream. There was also a carvery station and options like curry and spring rolls. Some customers seemed to focus on the kids' section and loaded up on chips and beans, missing out on the variety of other dishes available. I particularly liked the Hawaiian/tropical theme of the restaurant and the view of the water park, especially from a window seat. The festive steel band Christmas music added to the atmosphere. Keep in mind that this is a restaurant in a theme park hotel, so the prices are higher for the overall experience. If you prefer more budget-friendly options, there are pubs nearby outside of the resort. Overall, the pros include a diverse food selection, decent quality, themed atmosphere, and views of the water park. However, the restaurant is slightly overpriced, and some guests' behavior can be off-putting at times. If you are a picky eater, the price may not be justified for you.
I was initially hesitant to visit this restaurant based on previous reviews, but like my experience with the hotel, I found them to be unfounded. This buffet offers a wide variety of options where you can eat as much as you like. I had breakfast here for 2 days and dinner once with my 17-year-old son, and overall, we had a good experience. There were some tasty dishes and some that were not as great. Breakfast included a full English selection and individually wrapped cereals, muffins, pastries, fruits, and pancakes that were continually restocked. The evening meal was a bit on the pricey side at £50 for two meals and drinks, but they were both unlimited, including branded drinks, ice creams, lollies, and some nice homemade cakes. If I had paid £20 for a single meal of this quality, I might not have been as positive, but being able to enjoy as much as I wanted made it more than worth it. Overall, I think people should relax a bit and give this restaurant a chance.
After reading through all the reviews, I was genuinely nervous as I had booked two evening meals here we were staying at splash landings. We were a group of nine (family’s with children), and there are some picky eaters. We visited last year when it was a restricted menu and table service and loved it, and this year it was the buffet. I genuinely do not understand the negative reviews. We hate the constant slew of fried fast food at places like Alton Towers, and need a ‘proper meal’ to keep us going. There were vegetables, carvery meats, pasta, salad, and delicious chillis and curries. The selection was large and catered for absolutely everyone, even the pickiest of eaters in our group. In terms of value it’s an all you can eat buffet, with a vast amount of choice, and for the price I actually expected a LOT less. The staff there were absolutely wonderful, funny and charismatic, and the atmosphere was a real holiday vibe. We had already decided that if the food was not up to scratch, we would go somewhere else on our second night, but we went right back to Flambo’s and were extremely happy we did.
Had dinner here at the end of September. You have to pay for you meal upfront before going into the restaurant this time which was strange. We have been going to this restaurant for many years and this year we were disappointed in the very poor quality and lack of selection in the all you can eat buffet compared to previous years. No ice cream or cream available with desserts and to provide a freezer containing feasts and cornettos as a dessert option when you are paying over 80 pounds for a family of four for dinner is outrageous. Bring back the ever popular ice cream fountain please.Won't be bothering earing here again for a while I'm afraid.
