Torres Mexican Steakhouse - Stanford

It is a family run business. They need someone at the door seating people there was a little bit of a wait. Don't know if they did not have a loaded potato option or forgot. Wife thought the steak was cold.

Our experience was beyond what we expected. We were greeted at the door after arriving about 2 hours before closing and were sat right away. Warm chips and salsa were brought straight away and drinks soon thereafter. I ordered the smothered chicken, and my husband ordered the steak (6oz sirloin) and chicken with an additional shrimp skewer. Everything came out promptly and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were creamy and cooked well, and the baked potato wasdripping with delicious butter. The facility itself was well decorated and CLEAN. And the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Definitely would eat there again when we're in town.

Had a great lunch here today, big portions and friendly staff. We will return!

Cheese sauce was runny like water, fish tacos were salty and not good, the sauce tasted like mayo and ketchup. The chicken Burrito had dry chicken, the onions were almost burnt. The salsa and Chips was good. The waitress was nice. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
