Bidra med feedbackIf you love bursts of flavour, spice or seasoning, this isn’t the place for you! This is just good, clean no nonsense food that is basically untouched, not even really seasoned. This place is quite a nice little find just off Magill Rd, friendly staff, quite warm and inviting. I ordered the poached eggs with avo, pumpkin puree, shroom, spinach and chorizo crumbs. This was a very nice dish, but would have been outstanding with some seasoning and more chorizo crumbs! I will make mention that the chef prepares the food just behind the counter and you can see everything, including the boxes of produce just sitting on a trolley. It’s not really a big deal, but I couldn’t help thinking, it would be so much better if this was all blocked off with a swing door or similar. I will also make mention of the organic bottle of black coffee drink I bought, which cost me $8? Mmmmmm, certainly won’t be buying that again! And it was pretty average. They have a nice... read more
Do not order the matcha avocado smoothie. Tastes purely like blended avocado with a whisper of matcha, I don't want to be harsh but I struggled to finish it even though matcha is one of my favourite flavours! The meals however are satisfying and tasty considering how healthy they are. Food took a while to come out, but the staff are friendly and the cafe has a great atmosphere. Overall and OK experience, I wish I'd ordered a coffee after reading the raving reviews!
Been a couple of times and the had the vegan Mex Bowl which I really enjoyed! The most recent time the cucumber & tomato salsa was missing which was a shame as it adds a much needed freshness to the dish. There's only a few components to the dish so unsure if it was forgotten or it was assumed it wouldn't be missed... It was missed :(
I have visited this place probably 6 times since opening. It's a small, visually pleasing space with clean lines, a modern fit out and fresh appeal. The first few meals really impressed me as they were fresh and good quality. However, with time things have deteriorated in both quality and selection.. in my opinion. The pricing is also probably on the higher spectrum for what you get but this may reflect the location and what they're trying to sell which is raw, paleo type eats. They do have a good selection of raw deserts, some of which are really very nice. I'm a little on the fence about this place which is a shame as I believe it has the potential to be something special.
The coffee here was GREAT!! Dined here with a friend on a Saturday morning. The place was very busy and noisy. The staff were very friendly. It is very difficult to give the place a good rating when you wait so long for your food. The wait is the only drawback of this place but it was between 45-50 minutes. When the food eventually arrived it was delicious. We both had the smashed avo which was served with haloumi, roast tomatoes and an optional egg. There was tons of avocado which was great, unfortunately it seems the tomatoes were sitting on top of the sourdough so bu the time it arrived the bread was soggy. I would love to try out this place again in 6 months or so and hopefully there have been some small changes.
