Bidra med feedbackWe drove all the way to this restaurant today as it has been on our list of Asian restaurants to try. The restaurant was relatively quiet during lunch time on Friday and has two signs telling customers that they are short-staffed. So we were prepared that we wouldn 't be served immediately, even though there were only three tables with guests in the room. We waited for 20 minutes with no one coming to take our order (all the other three tables all had their food served). Then, I asked the lady at the reception to take our order. She didn 't even bother to listen to me and kept saying the food is coming . We even didn 't order anything, how come the food is coming? I told her someone had to take our order first. Then, she shouted at me you know we are short-staffed, right? I walked back to our seat and she continued chatting with someone waiting for his delivery I guess, without coming to us. We left and ended not eating here after such a long drive. We wanted to be empathetic about any difficulty neighborhood restaurants like this has gone through, but as customers, we also wanted to have basic respect. Throughout this communication, there wasn 't a single sorry or at least showing respect.
We didnt even have a chance to taste the food but we wouldnt give the business to this owner. We came in as a party of 9 on Sunday around 11:30am. There was completely empty as it just opened, but we had to wait for 30 mins without any help. There was no water not any check in even though there was no one else. When we politely came to find the owner/waiter to take orders, she DID roll her eyes and asked us to wait since she was busy with a take out order. She did not even say sorry or explained any situation. Then we decidedAsian Pumpkin Curry to leave even though we were hungry and had small kids. The owner saw us leaving and just said You guys can leave and you don 't have a chance to eat our food . Excuse me, lady we are not that desperate to eat your food. We don 't want be treated badly even though we totally understand the hard time with restaurant business. Our family used to own the restaurant before and we understood the frustration with staffing and everything but we wont ever treat our customers badly.
Sooo sad that it closed! Lovely owner/chef and the food was authentic and delicious. Will miss having a halal Burmese option in the area! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Amazing food and the owner lady is the sweetest and most loving ever. totally made my day just talking to her. oh and did i mention that the food was amazing too??
