Bidra med feedbackThe food was innovative and quite tasty, but unfortunately it arrived cold. I encountered some issues with the online ordering system, as it didn't align with the printed receipt that accompanied our meal, which caused some frustration since it affected our order. Additionally, there were certain items that were out of stock, but the online system didn't reflect this. The biscuit served as a side with jam had a different taste compared to those included with the breakfast sandwiches, and not in a positive way. Furthermore, the live band playing during brunch was too loud for the venue. Overall, I'm unsure if I'd return.
I was in the area and looking for a nice spot for lunch. I placed an order online for a Charlie for myself and a Nash for a friend. I arrived about five minutes before the estimated pickup time, and the restaurant was fairly empty. I didn't see any other orders waiting besides mine, yet I ended up waiting an additional 5-10 minutes to receive my food. When I finally got it, everything was fresh and hot, and I was excited to dig in. However, when I got home, I discovered they forgot the spicy fried chicken that was supposed to come with my Charlie order. I had paid $15 for just four pieces of waffle and jams, which was a bit disappointing. The waffle itself was okay. My friend, on the other hand, really enjoyed their Nash biscuit and fried chicken. Overall, it was a letdown. I may consider coming back, but I’ll definitely check my takeout orders on the spot in the future.
The biscuits here are outstanding, crumbling pleasantly in your hands. The fried chicken is good, but a bit pricey at around $25 for a biscuit, home fries, and cold brew coffee. I tried the El Jefe biscuit, which comes with fried chicken, pimento cheese, bacon, and pickles, and it was delicious. However, the home fries were just average—basically chopped-up French fries with a bit of seasoning and onions. The cold brew on tap, though, was quite enjoyable.
Was pleasantly surprised when we stumbled on this place while in the area. My husband had one of the biscuit sandwiches and it was very good. I had the Daybreak bowl which was also good. We also split a waffle which was great. And the drink of the day wasa Splish which for the price it's more than a good deal. So delicious. The only critique I would have is on the bowl to add asauce or something on top. The items were seasoned well but there wasn't enough cheese or egg to tie them all together. May Isuggest a fresh Pico and avocado crema??
Really terrific food! I had the Beverly and it was delicious! Chicken was tasty and the addition of the burrata cheese was outstanding. The tang of the balsamic reduction and bitterness of the arugula made the dish. Tying it all together was the sundried tomato gravy. Yum! My daughter had the Daybreak, which was a less impressive bowl of egg, sausage, mushrooms, greenpeppers and potatoes. Very filling though and I helped her finish. We also sampled the garlic fries. Very garlicky. A+. Wedecided to get the Waffle &Co for a dessert to go. It was incredible! I wish that we had a restaurant like this back home.
