Golden Crown - Stillwater

The restaurant has significantly declined in quality over time. I ordered sesame chicken and chicken chow mein for four people but only received one serving of rice. The sesame chicken was overly orange in color with minimal sesame seeds, tasting more like orange chicken. It was disappointing.

Moved into the area and this place came as a recommendation. Although we're only 5 minutes away, we ordered delivery....didn't feel well enough to drive. Delivery wasn't as quick as I'd expected. Food wasn't piping hot when it was received, but it was still warm enough where we didn't have to re-heat. The flavors were good in both main entrees. The appetizer sampler... Not worth it; I wasn't impressed. The husband liked the chicken wings, but I didn't care for it (had better). Only the cream cheese wontons are worth buying again from the appetizers. It's quite expensive for an average Chinese restaurant. I'll stick to China Chef, even if we have to drive further, for quality Chinese food. But I would consider ordering here one more time, to try out different dishes.

I am a very particular person when it comes to food and I always appreciate a good meal. As someone from New York where Chinese cuisine is held in high regard, I can confidently say that this restaurant exceeds expectations. I ordered the Pork Chop Suey and an egg roll, both of which were of excellent quality and beautifully presented. If you are in search of originality and delicious flavors, look no further than Here!

We had over cooked egg rolls, lots of potatoes as fillers in our entrees. Light on the veggies. Chow mein was nothing bur celery and thickener. It used to be so good. What happened?

The food at this restaurant took too long to come out. Our meals were served at different times, and the only plate that was hot enough to be considered fresh was my 4-year-old's. Unfortunately, his meal came out last, making it too hot for him to eat. The rest of our meals were overly salty and barely warm. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food. However, the staff was very friendly and the environment was clean with neat and nice decor. We go out to eat for the food, not just the view.
