Bidra med feedbackThe dining experience was quite pleasant, and the staff was helpful. However, there seemed to be some disorganization among the employees. The young man in charge was running back and forth across the restaurant. There was a woman present for part of the time, possibly the manager, but she didn’t seem to provide much guidance to alleviate the pressure on the young man. When our plates were cleared by her, we requested dessert menus, but she forgot about us. We sat at our table for 10 minutes without anyone checking in on us, so we had to go ask for the menu ourselves. After that, we waited another 15 minutes before finally catching the young man’s attention to place our order. Unfortunately, the poor service really affected our overall rating.
The personal entering through their own was overbooked on coverings, so there was a clear feeling of stress and chaos as they tried to manage, but it made them just want to give them a hug and tell them it will be in order. the people on tables near us received their orders 10 15 minutes apart, which meant that some had completed their before the rest of the food came out. our burgers and fries dived ca. an hour after the ordering on and were served with chips without frying, which is not a big thing, but the half of the chips had been boiled over. the selection on the menu is inspiring and simply a bit strange, honest sweet risotto to be with a parmesan sauce? steak with a pfeffer sauce? the only reason I would ever recommend this restaurant is if they happen to stay in the hotel and they choose somewhere to eat pure on the convenientness of it there.
The restaurant was very pleasant and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was enjoyable, but I was surprised by the limited options available. Unfortunately, we had a guest with a food allergy whom we didn’t check with thoroughly, which resulted in a reaction. Despite that, it’s a lovely place with a great atmosphere for dining!
About price for fine eating . the personal was good, but overworked. the food quality was missing from the price. £22 for haggis, neeps and tatties uses an imprisoned audience.
We had a delightful meal with excellent service, and every dish was fantastic. We visit most years, and it’s always a pleasure.
