Golden China Buffet - ston

Made a point to go at opening time, arriving around 11:15 on a Sunday. Seated right away in a comfortable booth. The food was bland, luke- warm, overcooked but plentiful. The staff was polite and plates were cleared quickly. The fortune cookie was not stale; unfortunately the highlight of the meal. One of the stars is for being close to my hotel. Do not recommend

Pretty sure that this place has never even HEARD of a servesafe Cert. Im a Food Safety manager myself and I can definitley state , Golden China wouldnt make a 100. Wife and I stopped in today, which resulted in a near death experience for her. After she experienced the same symptoms that she has when exposed to her food alergies of Coconut and Pineapple, I alerted the staff that there was an apparent cross contamination issue. I mentioned that they DID have Pineapple chicken on thier buffet. Manager insisted that this wasnt possible as they cook ordered plates seperate from the buffet bar. I would like to see this, becuase it makes no practical sense to cook it like that. This is on top of the fact that the food itself didnt have a particularly appealing taste. While the plates themselves APPEARED to be clean, I noticed a large number of insects (namely flies) had taken up residence in the men's room. It should also be noted that I requested a new set of cutlery for my wife and was handed a single fork with no degree of wrapping or sterile packaging whatsoever. Cant recommend ever going here again.

The food menu is very large indeed, there is a lot of variety from dinner, lunches, desserts, everything is fresh. I am pleasantly surprised at the good food and attentive employees here. I enjoy the variety of dishes on the buffet, and it's always hot !!

It's just the right size Chinese buffet. There is plenty of fresh food. Good variety without going crazy
