Cuba 1918 - Stones Corner Australia

I’m Cuban myself love to eat cook Cuban food. I’m always looking out for more Cuban restaurants. So I was excited to come here was hoping for an authentic Cuban food experience, but it was not unfortunately. The ropa vieja was way over salted, the maduros were not cooked enough, portion size vs price was off (very expensive), black beans weren’t thick. No cuban malta soda on the menu. Music atmosphere was nice.

It has nothing to do with Cuba the food is not Cuban the service is very bad my order they forgot to bring it to me the waiter didn't speak Spanish the worst food I have ever eaten in my life

Great atmosphere, but a little too dark and warm when we visited to fully enjoy our lunch. Maybe a little Cuban music in the background would not hurt? But our waiter and the staff did their best to make us comfortable that was in their control. The food was great by my opinion. The pork and the beef was flavorful and the fried potatoes are the best I have had in a long time. The Cuban sandwich is a must but get them with the fires. Would be nice for more options on the side orders other than plane white rice , and red beans or black beans that are served with most of the plates. Other than that it would have been a solid 5. Be warned the restroom is not wheelchair accessible, there is a step/platform to access the toilet.

Thanks for your attention, Cuba 1918 has the best Cuban Sanwich original in San Antonio, the restaurant is like transporting me to habana vieja. Nice to have visited Cuba 1918 I hope soon come to visit Paladar Fusión México Cuba!!
