Our friends recommended this restaurant to us and promised that we would all go together. Unfortunately, the first time we attempted to visit, they were closed for a break (only the second time they had ever closed). However, we tried again last night, a Saturday, and were not disappointed. We all started with a salad, which was very good and a generous size. One of us ordered the Greek salad, which was topped with plenty of delicious feta cheese. We were also served warm crusty buns, which were delicious, although they only offered margarine instead of butter. I tried one of the specials for the day, chicken with goat cheese, and requested fettuccine Alfredo as my pasta choice, which was not a problem. The dish was very good and there was plenty of it. Everyone at our table was happy with their meals. When asked about dessert, we were told that they usually do not have homemade desserts as most people are too full to order them. However, the daughter of the owner kindly offered to check if any had been made, and she brought out a plate of homemade lemon cake, although we were all too full to indulge. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
I recently dined at 347 Queenston Rd in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The homemade food was delicious and the service was excellent. Be prepared to spend some time there, but it is definitely worth it.
This is a family run Italian restaurant with mamma and her sisters cooking in the kitchen. We've been going for years and the food has never disappointed us. This visit we had chicken parmesan, pasta with portobello mushrooms, penne with vodka sauce, and trout stuffed with crab and shrimp. We started out with crisp, delicious salads and warm rolls. The chicken parmesan was perfect, served with homemade pasta and sauce. The penne and portobello dishes were also excellent. The trout was a large portion with ample seafood stuffed inside. Our waitress was the daughter of the owner. She was attentive and helpful, making us feel welcome. My only suggestion would be a better dessert selection, however it will not stop me from returning.
I am absolutely impressed! To put it simply, dining here feels like being at Grandma's house, except this Grandma happens to be a Michelin star chef.
