Trapp Family Lodge Dining Room - STOWE

This was a magical place! Growing up with the Sound of Music just made this come to life. Definitely do a tour and explore the grounds. My only regret is not staying longer, but hey, never know if I'll be back with more family! ; Rooms: We stayed in the family suite. I took my mom, husband, and 2 littles, and it was a perfect layout for just that : Noteworthy details: A great coffee house on site and we regret not eating at the restaurant Rooms: 5

Great experience here all around. Food, service, and room. I nice spot in the country to relax. The beers from the brewery are also very good. My favorites were the weiss beer and Bohemian Pilsner. Pretzel sandwich brat at the brewery was really tasty, and the schnitzel was my favorite in the restaurant. Food drinks: Food was the best overall that we have had while traveling in the northeast this trip. I don’t normally eat baked goods, but everyone I ate here was very good. The beers from the brewery were also very good. Definitely stop in at the brewery and get a beer and a pretzel brat sandwich. Try their salads too. Cucumber, carrot , coleslaw are also worth trying.

Austria in the alps of Vermont is here, at the classic Trapp Family Lodge. In summer or winter, this place has all the magnetism to enjoy the hospitality from Europe. Classic rooms and decor of yesteryear. Catering on site or at the brewery...or kaffehause. The fields and mountains in front of us give an air of freedom and...symphony! Went here with my parents as part of our Vermont Vacation on August 28th 2023. We didn 't stay at the hotel or anything but i 'm sure that it is beautiful, especially if one is overlooking the mountains. We drove and parked in the parking lot, and Will say The hills are alive with The Sound Of Music , in other words, the mountain view is very beautiful. Unfortunately, there were no tours because it was a monday. Which i was disappointed about actually. We did look in the gift shop, and my mom got a magnet and an ornament. I was considering getting a book about the real maria, but didn 't. Restrooms that were located in the gift shop was very clean as well. There also seems to be lots of things to do there, like one can run around the trails, or bike probably too. Definetely a must stop- even if it is just for the views!

Don 't spend your money They live from the Von Trapp name Bad service Bad food Not a friendly or fun place Have been there in the past, but it has gone completely down hill Had to send the food back waited a long time for any service Sat with dirty plates left on the table between courses So many better places to dine in the area
