Salt - Stratford-on-Avon

This was my first experience at a Michelin Star restaurant, so I don't have any frame of comparison... but it was incredible! The service was fantastic, staff were friendly welcoming, and kindly talked us through the process and explained each meal in detail. The food itself was absolutely amazing. There was one course that wasn't to my preference, but that was just my own taste as everyone else loved it. The food was both incredibly tasty and beautiful, and although each dish is small I was so full by the end of the meal that I could barely move . The restaurant is small but very pretty, and it was very clean I was so confident in the cleanliness levels that I would have happily eaten off the table (not that I needed to obviously) and normally the idea of that would gross me out. It was a tad colder in the room than I would have liked, so if you are sensitive to the cold then make sure to bring a cardigan. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a memorable night out, and I cannot wait for a chance to go back again. My husband booked this restaurant for my birthday celebration. The staff were super friendly but there was a lady who was cleaning the bar at the front with a sprayer while we were eating our dinner. I found this very unprofessional and disturbing. Food was good but non of the dishes were surprising! I must say that I was very disappointed with my dessert. The birthday card was a nice gesture of the restaurant. Price per person: £100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

I was called here for an interview by “Aurelien” which I attended. I was then asked to do a trial shift for over 3 hours. Then he rang the next day and said he hadn’t made his mind up come for a 2nd trial shift also over 3 hours on Saturday which I did on short notice. The main thing was glass polishing and cleaning which I did everything I was supposed to. He said he’d email that night. For the next 4 days I waited in false hope and even rang over 20 times the next day they were open but they didn’t pick up once. Then he rings at 4pm that day and says I don’t think you have enough experience. The way I was treated was nothing short of disgusting after I showed total commitment. I spent money coming here in my car with hopes of attaining an income. Absolutely disgusting. If this is how they treat people it gives you something to think about
