Shipston Fish - Stratford-on-Avon

This restaurant experience was terrible. None of the items in our £30 order were edible. The chips and cod seemed to have been reheated from lunch, resulting in a rubbery, soggy mess. The mushy peas had a burnt taste and the burger was extremely dry. It is unbelievable that they would try to stay in business serving such poor quality food. I would feel embarrassed to even give this away for free, let alone charge for it. We will not be returning as this is not the first time we have had a bad experience, and we will be sure to recommend to our local friends and family to go elsewhere.

The fish and chips were incredibly dry, leading me to believe they were cooked well in advance. It was so bad that not even my cat would touch it. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered two fish and chip meals and found that the fish was very dry and the chips were not much better. It felt like they had just reheated leftovers from lunchtime.

Normally have fabulous cod chips here but this was terrible. Overcooked and grey “cod” and undercooked chips. Perhaps we shouldn’t try it on a Thursday night and certainly wouldn’t risk it if we have visitors.

This place has obviously had a change of ownership recently. As per my previous review, it was awful. However now I just had a fabulous fish and chips, the people were friendly and welcoming which is all you could wish for.
