You dont need to be a quaker to come here...i stumbled upon this place a few years ago and its a little tea room and garden...they have lovely cakes and its just lovely to sit in and have a jacket potato or a sandwich, very simple fayre in a lovely historic part of warwick, really close to the shops and round the corner from the castle, supermarket down the road and the race course, friendly experienced staff, service and quality of food excellent and really good prices
This quaint and cozy café offers a good selection of lunches and teas, served either at the small tables inside or, weather permitting, in the well-maintained garden. The menu includes jacket potatoes, sandwiches, soups, and quiches, all homemade as part of the Quakers' community involvement. Prices are reasonable, with soup and a scone costing around £3 and quiche and salad around £6. We enjoyed the delicious homemade cake and flapjacks. The café has a charming atmosphere and a personal touch, with a limited but satisfying menu for lunch and tea. Although they were out of Earl Grey tea, the lemonade was a refreshing substitution.
Keen for lunch we saw a little sign outside for a cafe. I think it is only open 12 2 pm ?? So I went in to check it out . It was a great find, with good toilets and friendly staff. Not all food is home cooked but everything was good. After lunch we explored the back yard which was an amazinging cottage garden and people were sitting on a seat outside enjoying the view. I would recommend here without hesitation and if you have time, check out the back garden . No parking available outside but we parked a short walk away.
We went to this café on a lovely hot day and had tea for two. We had a lovely tea pot (which I love) a pot of hot water. We sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed the peace and quiet there. My dad has a disabled walker to get around and it was very easy to go round the side and walk through as there are steps from the main road and a secret gate in Castle Lane which also has steps. There is a disabled toilet inside. We didn't have anything to eat but the menu looked very good and very clean and well maintained inside. The staff were very nice too. There are many coffee shops in Warwick which are all very nice, but local people if you haven't been here then please go and people who are travelling here and maybe visiting the Castle then please call in here and have lunch etc as it is much better value for money than the Castle.. You can leave the castle and go back again if you want a break and go round our town
