Kevin is the best bartender here! I asked him to make me a spicy margarita and he understood the assignment! 10/10 recommend for good food and drinks!

2 starts because the staff/server were so nice. But this place should be a 1 start review. It was the worst margarita I ever had. Tacos were small and cold. It is true I came close to close time, but hello, if you have a poor manu like here, please advise your server that you don't have bread to make the only sandwich you offer. The Torta. Just left so disappointed and hungry after I had to order tacos when I wanted a milanesa torta. Thank God the Standard was still open, and I could order some food and a good drink.

Excellent tacos, staff was amazing and very friendly! Lilli, Shelbi, Grace made a bunch of Mainers feel right at home!

I can't say enough good things about our experience at Bakersfield Penn Ave! In all honesty, I actually tried to make a reservation at another nearby taco place first and they completely dismissed the idea of a large party even with 6 months of advanced notice. So in a slight panic I found this location, and from that first phone call they were nothing but helpful. They welcomed the idea of a large party, and got me in contact with there events person. I was able to email her with the details, and was easily booked for a party of 20 online. I continued to ask questions about dietary restrictions and our seating location in the months leading up to our event, and she was always helpful and responsive. The night of our event I roll up dressed in costume with a huge bag of goodies for a friends surprise party, the staff was on board and even hyped us up as each guest in a different costumes arrived. Our server, Mike, was amazing and even got into character wearing orange sunglasses which were our party favors. He took such good care of all of us, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The best part was he bought the birthday boy a shot after he arrived! It was an incredible experience all around, everyone in our group was satisfied and I can't thank the staff enough for embracing us! Dietary restrictions: I had a few friends who needed vegan and nut free options, the staff was quick to answer our questions about what items on the menu could be made with substitutions.

Great place to with friends and enjoy quality food. Spent time with good friends and enjoyed the visit. Our waitress was so busy we waited exceptionally long for the check. Went to bartender after an hour
