Bidra med feedbackFound this place on a whim while looking at used cars. It's hidden off the freeway a bit but so worth it. The food is fresh. The menu has lots of options for lunch and dinner. The family atmosphere is perfect. The staff are friendly and attentive. I had the fajitas and husband has chicken burrito. We are from California and it's always difficult to find good, fresh, authentic, and flavorful Mexican food! This place is a must if you're driving through the area!
El Gran Puerto has an excellent selection of dishes, beers, cocktails, and so much more. My go to here, is the Arroz Con Camerones, which is vegetables, shrimp, rice, and queso. You really won't go wrong with anything you decide to get off their menu. The decor is very authentic Mexican Cantina. Claudia here is super sweet and helpful. I'm a repeat customer for sure!! There's parking behind the restaurant and on left (if you looking at the front building).
Quesadilla rellena (beef) is quite flavorful without being over the top spicy. The beef is ... chewy. Looks like the pot roast I make at home. The rice is just so-so. I 'll request a substitute for the rice next time. (Yes, there will be a next time). Portion size is smaller than I 'm used to, especially the salsa (about 2 tablespoons in the bottom of a deep bowl), but they had no problem bringing more. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Revision: requested the menu so I could order more food, please. Menu came promptly. 20 minutes later no further attention.
This has been a favorite of ours for many years! Food is always delicious the staff are such nice people! Most of the time they already know my daughter wants cheese dip and sometimes they ask us before we ask for it. They have a lot of regulars and they take the time to know their customers. It's a personal experience! I love the decor and design of it too!
Really good seafood burrito, service is amazing, and round of applause for the kitchen staff, their food is sooooo good! Whole place was super clean, and I love eating here
