Sugarfish By Sushi Nozawa - STUDIO CITY

The sushi is very good. The fish is fresh specially the toro which melts in your mouth. The serving pace of the sushi is just perfect giving you time to savour all of them. The staff are all nice and attentive. We requested additional pickled ginger multiple times with no issue. The bento sushi box for take out is nice where sushi's are arranged neatly inside without damaging the presentation. The price of food and the place is ok.

Their hand rolls are always on point! And their omakase is very worth it for the price you are paying.

Food: 7.5/10 Ambience: 7.8/10Service: 8/10We visited SUGARFISH on a Sunday evening at 18:30. We waited about 30 minutes to get space because they don't take reservations. Service was average and they explained the pieces for our Grandmakase. I think the fish quality was good, especially for the price $25) but definitely nothing to rave over. Flavors were very bland. Edamame was served cold and cost on average. I didn't finish the shrimp nigiri. I think they should have explained that the shrimps were cooked instead of saying Nozawa style shrimps. We all thought it was raw, sweet shrimp nigiri. While I would not go out of my way to return and in any case would 't wait more than 30 minutes for a table here, I would return if my friends really wanted to visit SUGARFISH. You may have heard that SUGARFISH is best when you're sitting in the restaurant and eating the dishes as they come out from the kitchen. But when the pandemic hit and indoor dining was prohibited, SUGARFISH came out with their takeout option.Their packaging is beautiful. The quality did not suffer.The first Trust Me Box was not a fluke ordered twice since and definitely not a fluke. They've somehow successfully translated their Trust Me Menu to take out.
