Bidra med feedbackThe roast pig with Chinese vegetables is great! Many pork and many different vegetables (not usually carrots/broccoli and water chestnuts like some places . The house special fried rice is also excellent! The restaurant doesn't look like that, but it's the best Chinese food I've had for a long time:
The place is not much to see, but the food is delicious, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable!
Good take out. My wife and I get take out from Great China every Thursday after work. Generally we get soup, crab rangoon, and an entree. The wanton and egg drop soups are standard chinese fare good, filling, but unremarkable. The hot and sour soup is unlike that of any other chinese restaurant I 've tried. It seems to have some sort of peppers in it so that the hot isn 't driven by black pepper like most variants, but instead it almost has a jalepeno flavor. It 's good, but unusual to be sure. The real gem of this place is the crab rangoons. They are inexpensive, but you get a huge bag of them, lightly fried with a rich creamy cream cheese/crab center. I could probably eat the whole bag, but my wife loves them as much as I do. As to entrees, it 's all standard Chinese restaurant fare. I like the Szechuan shrimp and the pork fried rice, while my wife prefers the happy family. Everything is pretty good, but nothing has really amazed me. They are consistently good though, which is all you 're looking for when you need Chinese take out, and the people who work there are unfailingly friendly. When we moved here, finding a good Chinese place was high on our list, and this tiny shop fills that niche in our weekly menu.
