Saigon Summer - Summer Hill

I am so glad that Saigon Summer is in my hood. It’s tasty and inexpensive Vietnamese street food. It’s great that there are a few vegan and vegetarian options and that Vietnamese coffee is my kind of pick me up. #saigonsummer

I enjoy their food every time I go there. But I wish they put more noodle...it's too small and it's not enough for me. The pork/chicken rolls are pretty good and they are a decent size. This place is slowly increasing the prices every few months...I wonder if anyone noticed it?! It's getting pricy so I will go to a different Vietnamese pork roll shop when I feel like eating V rolls!

Our review this week is from a little shop in Summer Hill called Saigon Summer Street Food. You might be able to quickly figure the restaurant out as a Vietnamese restaurant. The restaurant is located in the shopping area of Summer Hill. They have the usual suspects of Vietnamese street food: Vietnamese roll, pho soup and vermicelli or rice dishes.

Service definitely needs improvement on two separate occasions I was given the wrong food order, and another time a guy greeted me and as I finished telling him my order, he just left until another girl had to take my order again (I don't think he could understand English well)<br/ <br/ In saying that food is absolutely on point and delicious, super fast and the salad bowls in particular are very generous with the meat. I've tried pretty much all variety on the menu and I would happily eat all of them again. Glad to have this in my local.

Great new addition to Summer Hill food. We had the pork roll, a collection of skewers, and pork rice paper rolls. The only slight disappointment was the rice paper rolls which were bland by themselves but the dipping sauce had plenty of flavour. Everything else was delicious; definitely coming back.
