Bidra med feedbackAdvertised as fresh and cared for but that what we had didn't seem like it. We ordered food based on pictures, those fries look magestic, golden brown and crunchy in other reviews but our fries were white... The wings did not feel or taste all that fresh, but the salsa like sauce saved it. Poutine sauce and cheese were good but the fries... The sad sad fries we got. It should be a crime to undertook fries...Checkout my YouTube for the video review coming up soon!
My wife and I had dinner with friends at The Smoking Bull last Thursday and it was nothing short of amazing! Great atmosphere, fantastic food very pleasant staff! The beef ribs were crazy good! If you are looking for a place to enjoy good food with friends and not leave hungry, this is the place for you! I highly recommend The Smoking Bull!
Showed up for lunch with a group of 5 on a Saturday bit of a wait to be seated only one server working. took our drink orders. Then took care of other tables she was doing her best to accommodate everyone food arrived nachos burnt. cheese curds burnt . pita bread was burnt for the cheese dip. After paying. found out server was alone working the floor , the bar area and cooking the food. Owners arrived and was yelling at employee in front of customers not very professional . Definitely not returning.
Went there twice with 2 other families (6 adults and 9 kids) in the summer as were camping close by.Overall we had nice experience sitting outside in the back terrace with a view on the river. The atmosphere, decor and the grounds are very beautiful. The service was OK, but can definitely improve. We tried a few starters and their specialties such as the brisket, ribs, wings, etc. I though the brisket and ribs were too dry and did not taste smoked, but I really enjoyed the chicken wings, baked potato and most of the starters. The children enjoyed all the items on the kid's menu and of course the popcorn chicken was a huge hit!We will come back next summer!
Probably one of the worst experiences i’ve had in quite some time.We visited the location on a double date, mistakingly my suggestion. Started off by having to listen to the cook in the back screaming and swearing for over 30 mins even after jokingly mentioning it to our server that “He must be having a bad day” it was quite unprofessional. We started off with drinks and appetizers. The southern cheese dip was average. The pita slices were over baked and hard. Our friends got the deep fried pickles, no complaints. We both decided to order the platter for 2. The server let us know that they were out of coleslaw, which it was 6:30? On a long weekend? You’d think they would have stocked at-least for dinner. Anyways, we asked if there was any replacement as it was an item that came with the meal and she said possibly a garden salad. When she went to the back we could hear her speaking to the cook who was making a fuss once again and she returned stating that they could not give us any replacement and if we wanted the salad it would cost extra. The platters are 70$ each and they couldn’t even give some type of replacement for something they ran out of.Platters came and were absolutely awful. The brisket was way overcooked and dry, the pulled pork tasted like leather shoelaces with not an ounce of sauce or seasoning, the sausage tasted weird, the ribs were dry and hard, they had some sort of hash that was extremely spicy, the wings were the only meat somewhat consumable, the mac and cheese was bland and tasted like a michelinas frozen dinner and the cornbread was so dry I needed water to swallow it down. Totally disappointed! Was really looking forward to find a new place to eat, unfortunately would not give this place a second look.
