Bidra med feedbackI took a few photos to share with our children who are currently out of state, and they were thrilled. It brought back memories of our time in Okinawa, Japan. From the golden Foo dogs outside to the interior decor and the aquarium, it felt reminiscent of our favorite places back home. We once dined at a similar spot in Japan that had a seaside atmosphere with an outdoor patio—right by Kadena Marina in Okinawa. Two of our children were born in Japan, and all three were raised there, so they miss it dearly—just like we do. Finding American Asian food in Japan was quite challenging since everything there tends to be very authentic. Now that we’re back in the States, we find ourselves missing authentic Japanese cuisine. Thankfully, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes that our picky kids will enjoy, and I can’t wait to bring them here. While the restaurant is spacious, the buffet itself is not as extensive as the one we visited in Greensboro, North Carolina, which I believe is called Hibachi Grill Buffet near Four Seasons Mall. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the food and will definitely return with our children. They serve hot wings, carrot cake, chocolate cake, ice cream, those famous Chinese buffet donuts, and delicious yeast rolls with honey butter spread. There’s also boiled crab, lo mein, sesame chicken, and more. I’ll try to update my review when we visit again with the kids during a quieter time. We went for dinner, and both of us opted for sweet tea, but I think I’ll stick to water next time since my body isn’t used to that much sugar or caffeine. I’ve included a photo of our receipt from that Thursday night because I know I always look for pricing information when reading reviews. It was $13.50 per person—I understand that many places are struggling and may raise their prices, but for a buffet, this is quite reasonable. We used to pay more per person at restaurants in Japan, so we have no complaints about prices here in the States; everything feels much more affordable. I’ll try to snap more photos during less busy times, as I didn’t want to capture other patrons, but the restaurant is much larger than the photos suggest. And don't forget to tip your servers! You can add a tip when you settle your bill.
This is likely my favorite Chinese buffet. The dish on the right is from their Mongolian barbecue. These two plates were more than enough to satisfy me during this visit. The food is incredibly delicious and fresh. As always, the service is friendly.
The food here is incredible! I recently ordered takeout and was very impressed. I highly recommend trying the Hibachi Bar; the food was cooked to perfection. I absolutely love dining at this restaurant! You can tell how good the food is by the constant crowd. Additionally, the buffet bar is always clean and well-organized, with food that looks fresh and appetizing.
China Town has been a staple in Summerville for decades and had always had really good food. This most recent visit was no exception. The staff was friendly, wearing masks, and cleaning the buffet areas constantly. The food was fresh and hot. The Mongolian was excellent as well with a friendly chef. We will be back as we always have been. Very reliable quality of food, cleanliness, and friendliness.
It has a reasonable price and there is a lot of food. Their mango cakes are so good the ice cream is very cold so you can take your time eating, the employees were very nice. Would want to come back even if it is very far away.
