Murtha's Fish Shop - Sunderland

I dined at this restaurant tonight and had the fish and chips, which were delicious. The meal was cooked to order, so it was incredibly fresh. I requested the batter, which was perfect. The fish was beautifully white and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

My wife was very ill in Sunderland Royal. She didn't like the food and wanted a taste of fish and chips. I got a fish bite and cone of chips staff very helpful and obliging they packed them in a box to keep hot. I ended up eating them. Very good. I'll go back for a full size portion when my situation improves

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a child and still go out of my way to get their fish and chips because I believe it is one of the best in Sunderland. The staff are also really friendly and welcoming.

You can stop by this chippy at any time and receive a warm welcome. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious, and the establishment is impeccably clean. The prices are very reasonable.

The fish was cooked fresh but not the best that I've had. I loved the chips and curry sauce. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and happy to chat while you waited for your fish. It's a place I would go back to but had better from other shops around.
