"This is a great South Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. The service is excellent. However, they only start serving from the mini menu at 9:00 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. The dosa here is very delicious!"
Initially, I enjoyed the food at this restaurant, but the service left much to be desired. There were not enough waitstaff, which resulted in a 20-minute wait just to place our order, followed by an additional 30 minutes before the food arrived. One of the staff members was even a bit rude. Considering the prices, the number of customers ordering curries was quite low. On the positive side, the appams were delicious, and the Chicken Lutscher was fantastic.
Was so excited to visit this restaurant in CA. After the visit, I hope they will soon open a branch in Dallas. We ordered kheema appam and regularly appam with crab masala. The appams are soft and fluffy and reminded me of home. They come with a side of Masala Gravy. You can always ask for some of the coconut milk that is additionally calculated. The crab masala was excellent and I had no torments as messy as possible to relish the taste. Proposals to go if you live nearby. Price: Moderate too high, depending on what you order. The crabmasala was expensive. Ambiente: You go to such restaurants for authentic Chettinad food and not the ambience. On-site parking is available, as the restaurant is in a Strip-Mall. Will I come back? Absolutely!
It was simply great!! The appam was so good! The food was very authentic. Hands down the best filter coffee in the bay area. The poondu kuzhambu (garlic-tamrind based curry) felt home made. Simply put, the food here reminded me of home.
