Bidra med feedbackGreat fun at this fun place! great music of vinyl rewind as always. we ordered all they can cook and eat cod. it was delicious!
I J Fountain Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in metro Phoenix. The owners and staffs are super nice, the food are amazing, fresh and always tasty, portions are huge. No matter if you go with the Polish or American options, they both cannot go wrong. My favorite was the prime rib, I wanted it to be medium cooked and Mr. chef cooked it perfectly! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is amazing, the decorations are unique. Oh did I forget to mention there is always either live music, karaoke or all other types of shows always available? Just by paying an average price by comparing to all other restaurants in return of great food and great entertainment, there is nothing I can complain about. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun night!
I love that they support live music! The prime rib has always been tasty. I?ve had other menu items, and it has always been good, but I generally order the prime rib. It is a hidden gem in Surprise.
Went to the restaurant tonight based on the fave reviews. This can 't be the same restaurant. Yes, there was country music. Old country music. In fact, the entire experience reminded me of visiting an old-folks home. Most of the patrons we saw were in their late 70s to mid-80s. The decor was tired and stale, reminiscent of a 1980 's family diner gone to seed. The food was equally stale- steamed chicken flashed on a grill to look like it was broiled, but in reality, was soft and gooey. The steamed vegetables (cut string beans and sliced carrots) looked and tasted as if they came from cafeteria cans- mushy, watery, and tasteless. Everything about the dinner screamed convalescent hospital. . My chicken fried steak was decent, but again, when paired with the tasteless vegetables, was sad. Even the dinner rolls looked old and tired- generic wheat rolls with no flavor. The one bright spot was the split pea soup, but my wife 's dinner salad was tiny and floating in water. Even after turning back her untouched dinner, they still charged us $4 for her dinner salad (she ate about half). Small portions, high prices, old and tired decor, slow service, and mushy food did was not offset by the boring music. At least the beer was cheap.
Still excellent atmosphere and people, but they, too, have fallen victim to the lack of workers. Service was excellent, but slow. There was a 15 minute wait to be seated because of that. The workers who were there did their best at accommodate.
