Las Cazuelas Mexican Food - Surprise

Do not visit this restaurant under any circumstances. I have been a customer here for many years, but ever since the new management took over, the food has been absolutely awful. It is overpriced and not authentic Mexican cuisine. I have been offered free meals that I never accepted, and today was the final straw. The caldo de res I ordered had shredded cabbage and unpeeled potatoes, which was disgusting. The overall quality of the food has declined, and the customer service was also terrible. The staff member I spoke to on the phone was rude and hung up on me. As a Latina, I usually support Latino businesses, but I cannot recommend this one. The owner's daughter has also been rude in the past. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food and good customer service, steer clear of this place. I advise reading the negative reviews before considering dining here. It used to be decent, but now it is a disappointment.

The food was fantastic and our server was excellent. They recommended the fish tacos for my wife and the chimichanga shredded beef for me, both of which were top-notch. The margaritas were also delicious. The chimichanga served as our "forbidden dessert" at the end of the meal and we really enjoyed it. My only recommendation would be to improve the ambience by replacing the fluorescent lights with incandescent lights or side lighting. Most horrible experience EVER!!!! Will never give them our business again. This used to be our go to place in Surprise, a couple weeks ago we went for the Menudo. Well not only did I find a human hair in the bowl I recieved, there were 3 human hairs Ifound. They looked like eyelashes or nose hairs because you could see the hair folicles at the tip of each one like it was justpulled out. It was disgusting. The restraunt did nothing to compensate us or apologize in anyway. They didnt care prettymuch..Sad to say we will be going else where.. I mean one hair ok it happens but 3 my goodness.

I ordered the carnitas plate with rice and beans. The carnitas were crispy and the shrimp cocktail was delicious. They also offer menudo. The Michelada I had was great and the green salsa with chips was really tasty.

So good!!!! Service was excellent, prices were fair (99¢ margaritas!!!! , and the food was very tasty. Would recommend
