Nick's Diner Ii - Surprise

Chicken fried steak and eggs. Is there a better breakfast for a rainy morning? Ours was everything we had hoped for. A beautiful, large, thick piece of meat, cooked to perfection.

The food was delicious. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all of which were well-prepared home-style meals. While nothing fancy, it was all good, hearty, home-cooked food.

I had previously visited this restaurant for breakfast and it was very good. However, when I went for lunch this time, I was very disappointed. The dining area was dirty at best.

Update: Our recent visit was not as pleasant as usual. Our waitress, René, was quite unfriendly. When she seated us at a table, we politely asked about another table. She tossed our menus on the table and said we could pick our menus up and move to another table if we preferred. We found her attitude unnecessarily hostile and rude, especially since we were being polite. René never returned to our table, but luckily our new waitress was absolutely delightful. The food at Nick's Diner was delicious as always. It is one of our favorite breakfast spots because the food is consistently great and the service is always friendly and attentive. The pancakes with fresh strawberries, compote, and cream were especially delicious.

The reuben sandwich at this restaurant was quite tasty. I especially enjoyed the Clam Chowder, which was creamy and flavorful. My mother-in-law ordered the fish and chips and liked it. My sister and her friend opted for the filet mignon, with mixed reviews. However, the portion sizes were generous and satisfying. Our waitress was excellent, always checking in on us and even teaching us a fun trick using numbers to create a face. She had a great sense of humor and made our dining experience enjoyable.
