Bidra med feedbackA hidden gem at Surry Hills in Sydney. If you have a chance go there! Just be prepared for long queues, but it'll worth the waiting. Using fresh ingredients that they cut in front of you and making the biggest sandwiches I've ever seen.
This little hole in the wall in the back streets of Surry Hills is not exactly a restaurant but a tiny little sandwich joint.. BUT IT'S WELL WORTH A VISIT..!! Their giant sandwiches and beautiful salads are amazingly delicious and so cheap for what you get...Grab a friend, get some lunch and wander up the hill to the park at the end of the street.. perfect!
Yes, the servers at Malibu have tremendous attitude. They will shout at you, shout at each-other and occasionally shout at the sandwiches. But if you know what you are in for, who cares? On offer here are the biggest and quite possibly the best sandwiches in town, with a single sandwich enough for lunch, afternoon tea and maybe even a bite left over for dinner. But not only is the size monstrous, the quality on offer here will be enough to keep you coming back. For Malibu has the best schnitzel in town (fresh and small pieces, rather than one big congealed lump like at most places), delectable oven-roasted tomatoes and enough topping options to keep things continuously interesting. Its not perfect, but Malibu ticks enough boxes to stand firmly on the shortlist for the best sandwiches in town.
Small hole in the wall on a tiny street. It is open only on weekdays. We built a chicken sandwich between two huge slices of Vienna bread with homemade slaw, homemade mayonnaise, avocado, tomatoes and it was delicious. It was more than enough to feed 2. Their salad builds also look great. 3 doors down is a great cafe
These sandwiches will change your life! They are bigger than your head and you have to carry them like they are a new born child. The potato salad is a must have! You can customise any sandwich or salad, making it great for people who are vegetarian or gluten free! But they do get busy so arrive a little before the lunch time rush so you don't have to wait.
