Sheep Mountain Lodge - Sutton

We had dinner at the lodge after a glacier experience this day. The leaders recommended it and they were not wrong... Food was amazing, and most likely the best cake in Alaska!! The employees were fabulous in the recommendation of items for us from the menu, and the cook obviously takes a lot of pride on the dishes... well done team!!

This is a wonderful place. The owner is awesome, super helpful and nice. The cabins are great, location is excellent and the restaurant is the best we had in my entire 2 weeks trip to Alaska, even though we went to 5 stars restaurants. Food is excellent and everyone is super nice. We also took a helicopter ride with the owner to a glacier and landed there next to a amazing blue lake. This was the highlight of my trip. Don?t miss this place, it is superb.

The friendliest staff, the nicest views, the tastiest food and the best helicopter ride to land on a glacier in all of Alaska! We were warmly received by the staff and the Mark, the owner, our cabin was luxuriously large and very clean. The food at the restaurant is gourmet quality and the ride to the glacier felt intimate and you can tell Mark really enjoys flying guest and explaining what we're seeing and nothing there ever felt rushed. Highly recommended.

What a wonderfully charming spot! We only stopped for one night as we were passing through, but I would love to come back and spend more time. The mountain backdrop is gorgeous and you truly feel surrounded by nature. Walking trails give you a chance to stretch the legs, the cabins are up to date and spacious, and the grounds are wonderful (there?s even a hot tub! Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. Definitely plan a stop here!

We loved it here! A super comfortable bed and hot shower, which can?t be beat after a day of driving. If that?s not enough, the views are SPECTACULAR!!! We were lucky not to have a cloud in the sky (not sure if this is normal). We spent the night before the restaurant was officially open but they had a great room service set up where you order online and they run it over to you at the time you?ve specificed. The food arrived hot and the beer was cold. We had the salmon, burger, and triple berry cobbler? all of which were well prepared and one of our best meals during the first half of our Alaska trip. Overall Sheep Mountain Lodge was a perfect and pleasant surprise!
