Fachwerk Biergarten - Swakopmund

One of my favorite places in Swakopmund is this restaurant. It features beautiful outdoor seating with large tents that my six-year-old son always enjoys. They serve great cold beer, and the waiting staff are very friendly. We usually order the Schoferhoffer yeast wheat, but there are many other beers to choose from. My only complaint is that when the beer garden gets busy, the staff can be a little overwhelmed, which means it might take some time to get a refill unless you head to the bar yourself. I love the self-service food; it has the feel of authentic beer hall cuisine. I'm also a fan of the new Shiwarma restaurant. Occasionally, I'll grab a Shiwarma and enjoy it with a few beers. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Swakopmund; it really gives you a taste of a tropical Bavarian experience.

I have a new favorite German restaurant in Swakop: Brau House! We were drawn to this place because it looked fun from the outside. It's a self-service establishment, so you place your order at the counter and then head to the bar for drinks. We enjoyed a delicious pork dish served with sauerkraut, along with beer. Everything was very affordable, and the service was quick and friendly. There’s also a seating area at the back that features a sandpit for kids. I highly recommend it!

This pub is set in a historic building dating back to 1899. It features a front terrace, a cozy traditional pub interior, and a beer garden in the back, making it a perfect spot for everyone. With a variety of family-friendly events, hearty German cuisine, and refreshing cold beers, it's an excellent combination for a great outing!
