Rivett's Bakery - Swan Hill

This outlet would have to make the best sausage rolls there is, with veg and all included. I have never been let down with Rivetts.

Rivetts Bakery have three outlets. One in Chapman Street at Swan Hill North, one in the Woolworths Arcade and the other in the main street. I have always encountered friendly and prompt service at all three. I especially enjoy their salad rolls as the rolls are soft as opposed to hard and crusty. They have a nice range of cakes and slices too. The chocolate mud cakes are probably the best around if you want to nice birthday cake.

After attending school function we decided to pick up some lunch, as soon as we approached the counter, staff member walked up, didn't say anything, while we looked at what was available, we got a very terse, "so you are still deciding", to which we replied yes, no help was offered or suggestions, as we discussed our choices, we were very rudely told, "well I have other people to serve if you can't decide" We looked at the staff member puzzled as she stomped over to serve another customer, we just laughed, thought that is the rudest service I have ever experienced and took our money elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable, don't know what her problem was, but if this is the way you treat customers as if you are doing them a favour by serving them, you won't last very long in business. Won't be giving you another chance too many GOOD venues around town to ever bother again, absolutely shocking!!!!!!

The corned beef and pickles sandwich was fresh and quiet nice. The sausage roll was ok but the centre was a bit "squishy" for my liking. Service was quick, goods were reasonably priced.

Nice and clean, freshly renovated and serves the usual good bakery food. Also their coffee is good and served with a smile.
