China Garden - Swansboro

This is the only Chinese restaurant in the North Carolina area that I trust for takeout.

The restaurant is clean, efficient, and reasonably priced. We opted for takeout, but the dining area looks nice as well. The food was good, in line with what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall.

I don't often give Chinese restaurants five stars since they tend to be quite similar in terms of menu and offerings. However, this one stands out as above average. We ordered fried dumplings, which were decent but slightly overcooked. The Szechuan chicken and double sautéed pork were quite tasty, and the vegetables were nice and crunchy.

I had the vegetable fried rice, crab ragoon and the hot and sour soup and all of it was so good. I highly recommend this place. The waitress is always friendly and helpful. It is a very clean place too.

Very good Chinese. Staff was very nice and food was fresh. Food quality reminded me of a great Chinese restaurant in China Town San Francisco. I will be back.
