Husky Travel Centre - Swift Current

I was impressed the first time by how the salad looked and tasted. As a truck driver it is difficult to find healthy food. Second time was the same experience. The waitress actually remembered me and what I ate before...

Still on my way to Toronto from Vancouver and I'm just starting my day with breakfast at the Husky Travel Centre!....I good tasting and reasonably priced breakfast!...I had French toast with sausages and 3 eggs over easy!....No complaints!...A very good waitress too!..Joe Magdall...

It started with the waitress - she seemed dead. Didn't know how to smile and I had to ask for a spoon for my tea which the water wasn't even hot enough to melt the honey I put in. Then while eating my beef dip, I found 2 hairs in it. Very gross. And the broccoli cheese soup wasn't hot enough to melt the grated cheese put on top. Very disappointing. Will never return to the restaurant.

I would think twice before I ate here next time based on my meal. I had the hamburger steak. The steak was good. The mushrooms are canned and the gravy was not bad. But the corn tasted weird and the potatoes with gravy was also a little off. Now it was a sizable meal and a reasonable price.

We stop here whenever we are driving through Swift Current, SK. The food is fresh, the service is terrific and staff are really friendly.
