Stir - Swords

We were staying at the hotel and booked a deal through their website where we got an included 3 course meal at the hotel one of the nights. Being as we had had an early flight and been up since the crack of dawn, not having to wander far to get food was great! We have not eaten at many hotel restaurants so were unsure as to what to expect but we were very surprised. I had the crispy duck main and it is one of the best I have ever had! It was extremely delicious. I had the spring rolls to start which were also very tasty. We also ordered 2 soups of the day and chicken wings to start and 3 Guinness Pies for mains then we ordered a Belgian chocolate Indulgence and a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert, both of which were yummy. Being as we had already paid for the food we only had to pay for drinks so made it seem a cheap evening! Excellent!

Relaxing restaurant although think most of the patrons were guests in the hotel,a good food choice and value service was courteous and efficient.

The breakfasts supposedly hot ,,,,were cold , evening meal of lasagna was measly in portion size and definitely not worthy of the price

The staff are very professional and attentive. The food was nice and very well presented but it was nothing special.

Stopped by this restaurant as it was near the theatre we were visiting. Its in the Maldron Hotel on Dublin's Parnell Square. We were a small group of 5 but we doubled the restaurant population (albeit it was early evening (6pm). The menu is fairly basic and we chose the spring rolls and the pate as starters. The pate was actually very nice but served with far too few crackers/toast pieces. The spring rolls on the other hand were very poor they were all (three portions) over cooked and seemed greasy. For mains we had only two different types of dish the Thai red curry was weak in terms of flavour and the port belly was reasonably tasty. Overall the food was very forgettable I'm afraid but the waiter was extremely nice, police and efficient. Frankly, there are better restaurants in the vicinity but this was convenient and actually reasonably priced.
