Ipoh on York - Sydney

Actual rating: If you’re looking for a nice cheap quick eat, then Ipoh may be worth your while. I ordered the wonton laksa after my friend hailed the place as “the best laksa in Sydney”. The dish was packed with flavour and was quite enjoyable. The portion size was perfect. Only downside was that there didn’t seem to be any table water available and service was minimal.

Halal. Enjoyed our food immensely. You will have to add vinegar, chilli and other things to make it to your taste. Enjoyed the limau and teh drinks. Tables were a little sticky but a great place to enjoy some quick, tasty malay food.

It's been about seven years since I sang in the ipoh town on york. since my last meal, the restaurant has shaken a few doors on the road and converted from an underground white-walled cellar to a very similar street-level affair with exterior under shady arches. the new interieur has kept the same cafeteria foot with an almost brutally fast service system to serve many people fast. Always full, but the turnover is fast. space is also loud and perhaps not good for meeting. eat is very delicious! love her willon nudelsuppe and nasi lemak! price is also on par with other Malaysian locations around cbd.
