Bidra med feedbackFirst time going, kids and I enjoyed the vibe and our waffles. We all ordered a waffle we wanted to try, and shared with each other. Will go again.
It was our first visit, and we were really looking forward to it! I thought it was a unique idea to offer half-size waffles instead of just full size, and we absolutely loved the taste! One suggestion I have for the restaurant is to provide towels or wet wipes on the tables, if possible. It was a busy lunchtime, and the staff didn’t have time to clean off the empty tables, so ours was a bit sticky. Having some towels or wet wipes available would have been great. Nevertheless, we’ll definitely be back!
During our travels, we had the opportunity to visit Tripel D, and it was a fantastic experience for the whole family. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and we were pleased to find gluten-free options available for everyone. The Chicken and Waffles dish was especially delicious.
I also ordered a latte. I wanted to enjoy it, but it was just okay, so I’ll probably stick to regular American coffee on my next visit. The ordering process is self-service; you place your order at the counter and pick it up when your meal is ready. The staff was friendly and provided basic customer service. We visited on a Saturday morning, and it was surprisingly quiet. We considered checking to see if it was busier later, but we didn’t follow through. Prices were reasonable and portions were appropriate, with good quality ingredients. There’s street parking available in front at $2/hour or $10/day. The dining area is spacious and fun, decorated with music and local artwork, which is also for sale, along with a unique waffle-themed centerpiece. However, I was quite disappointed to see that a restaurant promoting social justice themes also had items on the menu that were tied to an apartheid-state label, especially considering their historical connections to Jerusalem and Palestinian heritage. Overall, the food was great and the ambiance inviting, but this aspect left me with mixed feelings.
If you're looking for the best little hole in the wall in Syracuse this is it! They have live music, amazing waffle concoctions, all kinds of coffees and drinks... I couldn't love this place more! The service is amazing as well. We loved it so much we bought t shirts and I'm proud to rep funk n' waffles when I wear mine!
