The torta was incredibly amazing. It is a good portion of food, especially if the fries are included. One torta feeds a person nicely. The meat is cooked the perfect amount, and the veggies are fresh and delicious. The bread is soft and not at all stale, and that is an easy problem that restaurants have that Rancho Viejo does not. Very great meal. The tacos were scrumptious. There was much wrong with them at all; they were freshly made but were slightly less warm when they came out. Being the closest thing to an authentic mexican/mennonite restaurant around here, we have high expectations for this location, which are all met...except for the small amount of pineapple on the al pastor tacos. There definitely could have been more, like they do it in mexico. But still, the food was great. The food here is just not as it once was, unfortunately. But it's still decent. I'd say it's a 3.5/5 Asada fries are still good. Would order again. They're chicken strips are smaller and are no longer crispy like they were years ago when i last tried them. The fries are still really good tho. The camarones rancheros was bland. The portion sizes are pretty good for the price. Overall, there is some good stuff on the menu, you just need to know what to order I guess.
