Casa Moreno - Tacoma

I think the name changed to Cocina Mexicana, but OMG the food was amazing!! We went for Taco Tuesday and I got the al pastor Asada Tacos with beans and rice and let me just say it was all DELICIOUS. Your salsas are also amazing. Very recommended if you are looking for authentic Mexican food! Oh, and the waitress was very nice too!

A little hard to find definitely. Atmosphere is great, decor is vivid and themed. Food selection is beyond what’s expected. I personally loved the “Chicken Milanesa” perfectly crafted tender chicken breast filets. Their French fries(the only thing I remembered to take a picture of) were really good and hefty portioned. The drinks were great! I found this place accidentally but will absolutely come back. The staff was experienced, respectful (not to many interruptions while eating) and offered a pleasant experience.

I really like the food, but the service is what gets my 5 star review. I was trying to order food for my family, which includes a 16 month old. They happily substituted corn tortillas for the corn chips so my little guy without molars could enjoy the guacamole. The guacamole was fantastic!

Good food, the restaurant is still new so overall decor is still being set up- but it's the food that counts. Large portions, reasonable cost. I'd say they just need to work a bit on service. The waitress kept visiting the table too quickly when we were deciding.

Service was fine. They were testing the audio while we tried to eat, which was on very loud speakers right behind us. The food was not great; my mom 's meal was lukewarm.
