Ivar's Seafood - Tacoma

The clam chowder was delicious, and the fish was fresh. I really hope they bring back the sweet tartar sauce!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had the excellent clam chowder served in a bread bowl, along with a delicious Caesar salad. They also offer outdoor seating.

There's nothing appealing about discovering, mid-bite, that the shrimp aren't deveined.

Clam chowder is awesome and seafood tastes good. What's best are the people working the counter. They smile, treat you nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

I've eaten at this Ivar's many times and the food and service are always excellent, so why 3 stars? I took 2 stars off because my lunch came with no eating utensils. I ordered through Uber eats as I occasionally do, and this time, I had to go out to my car to get my emergency utensils out of my glove box, wasting almost half my lunch time. Not cool.
