Warthog Bbq Pit - Tacoma

The prices seem a bit high for what you receive. I had three ribs, and I'm not quite sure if what I got was potato salad. The mac and cheese was decent, but maybe I'm just used to the southern BBQ standards. So far, I haven't discovered any great barbecue places in Washington.

The woman who assisted us was genuinely very kind. Unfortunately, the chef did not leave a good impression. The brisket was mainly fat, but the fries were excellent. The cornbread was dry, and the coleslaw was just okay.

I would easily give this place a ten out of ten for these two reasons alone. But beyond the fantastic food, the staff was wonderful as well. The young lady at the counter and the mustachioed gentleman doing the cooking were friendly and made us feel at home. It reminded me of Louisiana, where you walk into a place and everyone greets you like old friends. I highly recommend giving them a try. My only regret is not getting one of the giant cookies. They looked amazing, and my wife wanted one, but we were too full by the time we left.

Great BBQ , only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that the menu is different for both locations and you can only door dash from one of them. Plus looking at the menus online and figuring if what you want is at which one, takes more than it should. If they could get that on the same page, it would be a 5

Currently on a quest to find the best brisket in Washington!... It's not here tho. Speedy customer service and friendly staff. The brisket was a little dry, had enough smokiness but needed a little extra flavor. Cornbread was drier than Grandma's homemade biscuits. BBQ Sauce is decent. Portion sizes are ok. Overall 5.5/10
