Bidra med feedbackClear markings on vegan food. Some types are better than others, but worth a visit and you only pay $32 per dish!
There are lots of options (green plates for vegans) but most are just ok. There are better places to go for vegan food in taipei.
Nothing blew me away but it was decent food and I love the idea, veg sushi needs to be a thing! never had spicy edamame, it was great. some of the best plates were hot from the back, a picture of them is rotating around the belt and you add your table number to order one.
Even though, the concept is nice and the place is fun, the sushis were quite deceiving. No flavor and not very fresh.
Quite honestly, when you think about it, vegetarian/vegan sushi isn 't very complicated. Sushi has always been my downfall and when I finally made the complete switch to becoming a strict vegetarian, I still think of those sushi eating days fondly. Then I heard about this place! The place is very easy to find. For details, I found a really nice post about it: [hidden link] . The price is 30 NTD per plate, any plate, so around 1 USD. It ranges from sashimi to nigiri and even a handroll and some fusion options like stuffed and fried stinky tofu with pickled cabbage. Everything is vegetarian and the plates are color coded to let you know what kind vegan all the way to lacto ovo vegetarian. I love the place because it covers that little niche I had been missing, but it 's probably not a place to go regularly the food would just blend together. However, I have to say that some of their fake meats do resemble the real thing (raw salmon , anyone? , which I applaud them for how do they do it?? It 's probably konjac based. It 's a novelty place and I enjoyed it... one of those fun things to do. I also applaud them for their creativity if only we have one back in the States! I would definitely recommend it. Even my husband who is not really fond of sushi thought it would be a nice place to take people for the first time. I mean, who wouldn 't like food to travel to you by conveyor belt? By the time we left, we finished 17 plates and there was a steady flow of traffic. Looking around, two Buddhist monks had joined us! NOTE: there is a bar for the conveyor belt, but towards the back, there are also booths for larger parties that might sit a maximum of 4 people or so. The actual restaurant size is LARGE.
