Grub Burger - Tallahassee

Hey guys I just wanted to take a moment to let you know about my experience at this restaurant! Hands down one of the best places I've been to in a while, Very friendly staff and really good food! Definitely check them out, You won't be disappointed!

Excellent food, service staff!. Everything on the menu is out of this world!

Excellent burger! the cadillac wagyu burger was great. mean rare, with thin tasty fried wobble. mac and cheese burger was delicious- smoked mac and cheese with bacon crumbs. the maverick was good. very clean restaurant. the toilets were clean. good service. four burgers ordered and you have good 5 minutes longer than the others. only fall. lots of parking. sitting in free, large bar.

I found this spot very disappointing and way overpriced. The burger, which cost $12, was tasty but it ends there. The taste was not enough to overcome the dry nature of the sandwich and the fact that it was very small in size. Mushroom Swiss burgers are generally filled with cheese and mushrooms leaving a dripping mess on your hands. Not this, neat as a pin and nary a drop of mushroom or cheese to touch the plate. I'll leave this spot behind me and not look back.

On a trip from Orlando to New Orleans we wanted to grab a quick bite not too far off the highway so we could continue on our way. After a BBQ competition in Florida we were completely wiped and just wanted something solid...maybe a burger?! Enter Grub Burger Bar. I had never heard of this place but Chas had said that he thought it was a small chain. On first thought it was a nice modern design. You walk past the bar on entry (assuming to upsell their alcohol) and you order prior to being sat. Semi open kitchen plan and boards with menu options. Soda machines for beverages with many low top and high top options for tables. We ordered a few burgers and decided to get an order of fries with one and onion rings with the other. We both went with the Cadillac Wagyu burger. Go big or Go home right?! This burger had some frizzled fried onions, spinach, tomato, swiss, and a roasted garlic mayo. The bun was brioche and was heavily buttered. This was a very good burger. The cost reflected that, but nonetheless it was a good burger. The fries weren't anything spectacular, but the onion rings were very good. Just had a few sodas so cant comment to the craftmanship of the bartender here. This would have been a 5 star review but unfortunately the service was okay at best. A bunch of younger kids, didn't seem like any of them truly wanted to be working.
