Bidra med feedbackClean restaurant with a nice casual atmosphere. The menu offers a large selection of both meat and vegetarian based dishes. Visited twice over the last few weeks and on both occasions the service was excellent. Also on both visits the food wasflavorful with good textures and the spice you seek from Indian food. Chili Chicken brought the heat you would expect with thebold flavor profile. The Curry and the Ulartu provides the bold spice you expect. The tandoori grilled meats were flavorful, but seemed to lack the depth of flavor I desired. The Rosemary Garlic Naan was perfect in it's compliment for all dishes. Overall this is an Indian restaurant you can have on a normal rotation.
I was recommended this restaurant by members of the Tampa Asian foodies group. Their online google rating doesn't look that high which was surprising, but the food was pretty damn legit. Especially since it's hard to find good Indian food in the stPete/Tampa region. The front parking and facade isn't that large so it's easy to miss if you don't know what to look for. Justkeep an eye out for the BP gas station as they're connected. Same owner Service was both attentive and good. If I hadanything bad to say it's that my waitress forgot the mango lassi, and when it came out it was very thick and not so cold. I'llprobably pass on it next time. Yes there will be a next time because the food was that good. My wife and I ordered the garlicnaan and it came out piping hot straight off the cooker. The garlic butter scent was apparent and amazing. We didn't even wantto dip it into the entree sauces because it was good by itself. She ordered the beef vindaloo and I the butter chicken. Thevindaloo tasted very well made and not some cookie cutter type of sauce. The beef was tender and had a stewed beef texture. Thebutter chickens sauce was amazing as it normally is. First piece of chicken was dry, but the rest were ok. The rice included isonly a small portion. So if you like to eat a good portion I would recommend getting an extra side of rice or some naan. Seeingas how this is one of the only few good Indian restaurants in the area, and the quality really flows through. Definitely willreturn.
Despite the restaurant being closed for renovations, they're serving thru a food truck. Made our 2+ hrs trip totally worthwhile. Authentic and tasty food! Waiting to go back for more, especially want to try the Jackfruit seed vegetable!
Its just white people Indian restaurant and very average food with very very rude staff towards colored people
Curry Leaves is a hidden gem of the best Indian food in Tampa. It is so consistent and we love it to pieces.
