If you're looking for a fantastic place to enjoy Cuban cuisine in Tampa, particularly in West Tampa, this restaurant is a must-try. They've been serving delicious food for over 20 or 30 years. My personal favorite is the tripleta sandwich, which includes three different meats. I highly recommend adding a fried egg to the sandwich for an extra treat. Don't forget to grab a big coffee, too!

West Tampa Sandwich Shop is like a cherished chapter in my life. Whenever I'm craving a Cuban sandwich, this is my go-to spot. No other place in Tampa can match their Cubans, and believe me, I've tried many! My favorite is the "Obama" (honey) Cuban, which I usually order, but I've never had a dish here that I didn't enjoy. The staff treats you like family, making you feel welcomed as you place your order and savor your meal. The food comes out quickly, so you won't have to wait long to dig in!

Amazing prices and fantastic food!!! I definitely plan to return!!! We tried the Cuban sandwich and Ropa Vieja served with rice and plantains, and we also ordered three ground beef empanadas. Everything was delicious!!!

We ordered Papa rellena (damped potato with ground beef), croquetas, beef empanadas, Cuban sandwiches and Café con leche. The ground beef in Empanadas and stuffed potato had not as much taste as I expected. Was it not good seasoned, but I? I gave me some sugar. The Cuban needed more mustard and less Mayo. Next time, the Mayo would skip and ask for extra mustard instead.

Went for breakfast and a Cuban sandwich to go. Coffee was fantastic, as usual. Breakfast was good, except for the grits; Had a very weird taste, like the water used had a ton of chlorine. Ate the sandwich hours later while on a road trip and it was very good. Recommended for breakfast but skip the grits.
