Thanks to chefs Will and Mary for delicious meals and Caitlin for great front of house service. We had the duo of lamb, which was cooked just as I asked. Succulent rump of lamb with flavoursome gravy and tasty shepherds pie. The other main was sea bass. Which was cooked to perfection and served with silky mash and a tasty sauce. Well done everyone we will be back.
Came here for some food and a couple of beers on a Saturday evening. Really lovely pub with a nice cosy atmosphere, including two open fires roaring away and sport on the tv screens. Dog friendly too so a great place to take the family. All the staff seemed great and a particular mention to Grace who was very welcoming and attentive. A lovely modern restaurant area set away from the bar area if tv screens aren’t your thing so everyone well catered for . Excellent .
Very quiet and relaxed evening. Great food and great service from Ellen. The food arrived quickly and was delicious.
We visited yesterday for a family celebration and were very disappointed. Two of our party ordered roast dinners. The roast potatoes were appalling, small round fried potatoes that were soggy and not a crispy roast potato at all. The turkey roast had 2 small round slices of meat balanced on the 5 small potatoes and if you wanted pigs in blankets you had to pay another £3.50 on top of the meal price. The vegetarian roast was served without a yorkshire pudding and the chicken schnitzels came with just 7 chips. This is penny pinching at its worst. We paid over £90 for 4 mediocre lunches and 4 drinks. No starters or desserts. The car park and grounds were covered in litter, broken glass and potholes. Overpriced and very disappointing! The serving staff were nice but under worked as the restaurant was half empty in December??...now we know why. Go elsewhere.
