The Local Diner (stag Park) - Taupo

Love the old school diner look. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and cheerful. Kids loved the milkshakes being in the old glass milk bottles. Absolutely recommend The Local Diner to anyone looking for a great meal.

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Gary runs it so well and you can tell this in the food! It's nothing fancy but that's what makes it what it is! I would say reasonable on price as it's hard to eat anywhere in NZ without it costing the earth! We've been up a few times as locals and I normally love the breakfast and he loves the burgers! A little off the beaten track but worth it!!!

Lovely 50s-restaurant-themed place with a even more Lovely couple preparing and serving fast, delicious and well prepared food. Super Clean and tidy, including the toilets. We were in a group of six for breakfast and everybody left happy with the food and service. As the day was Matariki holiday, before ordering they informed us that would have surcharge over the total bill and I loved been informed about it. Recommended!

Got this place recommended by my truck driving bro inlaw, so stopped here for lunch on our way south. Awesome place, decor is 60's milk bar, good basic food, beautifully cooked, very friendly service. Awesome atmosphere. I recommend a stop here if you are heading this way.

New owners are really friendly and kind. Food is great. Restraunt is clean and food is cheap. All in all a **** good place!! Highly recommend.
