A very warm and personal welcome with excellent service and great food and drink. highly recommended, it is worth tasting each of the dishes. I had the paste (two times) the pork roast on a Sunday and the fish cake 5 days late. no disappointment

We enjoyed a few drinks at a nearby camping site and received a very warm welcome. We sat in the courtyard, which was a nice spot for our bag to explore. The staff was exceptionally friendly and even took the time to chat with us. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

We received the warmest welcome! After a long journey from Brighton, the host and his team made us feel so at home, like we had arrived safely after a long trip. The beautiful green surroundings, accompanied by the sound of birds singing and the river flowing, created a peaceful atmosphere. A cozy log fire was crackling, and we enjoyed delicious homemade chicken and leek pie prepared by a very charming chef. It was the best introduction to Devon we could have asked for. The service from everyone we encountered was exceptional. Thank you!

Fantastic dining experience! This *dog-friendly* restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend either the burger or the butter chicken—both pack a big flavor and have a nice kick! The steak and ale pie is also incredible. It's worth the 270-mile journey! The atmosphere is lovely, warm, and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. You really can't go wrong here. Amazing overall!
