Bidra med feedbackBreakfast burrito with sausage and avo whoever works Friday mornings makes them the best
Just O-M-G! Delicious American style food, made to order. Only quality ingredients used at this high elevation grill. Take it home, or eat alfresco under the trees... either way you're in for a treat! Forewarning: I hope you like bacon, because the BLT is stuffed with meaty deliciousness! And that's just to start! Bon appetit!
I have ordered lunch from the grill a few times. Good food. I like the veggie burrito. Its huge and quite filling. A little heavy on the onions though. As other people have mentioned, it takes a while to get your food. You order up front and pay inside. Then come back out and wait. While you wait you can do some shopping inside the store or some exploring around the property. The store itself is a solid little convenience store. Snacks, drinks, desserts, gifts, lotto tickets, etc. Good selections to choose from. Outside of the store there is a old school house that you can look at. If you like history, especially of the local variety, then you should appreciate that. There is also a wall of want ads and pet adoption fliers. Like a giant, old fashioned, pre-internet bulletin board. In fact, walkimg around the building on the wood plank walkway feels like stepping back into the old west. If you should be lucky enough to experience the Bear Valley Market and Grill in the winter months, be prepared to have your eyes dazzled but the thousands upon thousands of Christmas lights and the accompanying decorations. They do it up big here!
Firstly the menu on line is unofficial so pricing etc is not up todate. I anticipated the chicken strips being a portion of 2/3 based on the advertised price of $6.99. The price actually was $10.99 and was a generous 6/7 pieces. The fries looked delicious and perfectly brown, but unfortunately i would say the oil was old as the fries were raw in side. The chicken when fresh was ok, with a really strange blend of textures and overtly hard and unpleasant coating. As the portion was large i had leftovers. At this point the tender had turned quite repulsive. The chicken was exceedingly poor quality and felt more like unedible bird parts as opposed to meat with a bullet proof hard coating! Never have I had tenders as poor a quality before or raw french fries. Sadly using this as an example of their food quality and value for money I'd say keep driving to the Mulligan room and bypass this place, I most definitely won't be back.
Very convenient and friendly staff grill also has very good food value with fair prices
