Bidra med feedbackI came in here before a hockey game with my nephews and this place was awesome. The food was great, but I was surprised by how nice the service was. Tanya was FANTASTIC with my nephews and had them laughing while we enjoyed a slice.
Always love coming here for a HUGE slice of pizza. Great atmosphere to come at night alone or with friends!
Above average on average became below average after repeat visits. The service worsened as the pizza served got colder. If I can't recommend a place because of the food or the service or the atmosphere I can't recommend it. Expensive, cold and overcooked. Bottom of the pizza was cooked through but the reheated slices were cold. It's just too bad.
Warning: This pizza place is temporarily closed until further noticeEdit: They are reopening this week.
Diners Drive-ins and Dives number 499 for me was a hit! Sal's Pizza is a family owned Italian joint with much more than pizza. With it being 114 degrees outside ! , the idea of eating what Guy ate on the show was a little too much. He had both baked ziti pizza and chicken marsala pizza. Both huge meals on pizza. I ordered the much lighter salad and pasta arrabiata. After chatting with our waitress, she offered to get us just a slice of the baked ziti pizza. She was awesome and turned out that she's the daughter of the owners. Anna was the best server we've had in a long time. Friendly, sincere, attentive, yet not overly so. My pasta was excellent, and huge. Easily, I have 3 more meals worth of leftovers! Oh, and their fresh bread- yum! Go here when you are in the Phoenix area ... we'll worth the drive to Gilbert!
